(sometimes) blog

a place where I (sometimes) blog about special projects I'm working on, cool stuff I've seen, books I've read, music I like and other fun stuff.

We can learn a lot from movie zingers

Here are just two things we can learn from the movies.

1. Communication is really really REALLY important.

2. And so is planning.

Two of my favorite zingers come from Cool Hand Luke (1967) and JAWS (1975). Classic. Listen to NPR's What Makes A Movie Quote Memorable? for the science behind the most quoted one-liners, these two included.

COOL HAND LUKE

"What we've got here is ... failure to communicate."

JAWS

"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
